Cherry Soho Penthouse

Cherry Soho Penthouse — view 1

A cherry patent-leather and steel sofa anchors the space, framed by smoky oak boiserie and a dramatic coffee table.

Above, a cloud-like Murano glass chandelier floats like a luminous sculpture, casting a delicate glow across the room.

The centerpiece is House of Cards, a masterpiece by Vladimir Kandelaki (1986/1994), oil on canvas, 36 × 48 inches — adding an unexpected narrative tension to this sophisticated interior.

The sculptural Polina Lounge Chair, with its fluid silhouette and refined elegance, brings a distinctive sense of character to this intimate interior. Above, an evocative work on canvas by artist Simon William introduces organic forms and soft tonal contrasts, transforming the space into a sophisticated visual experience.

Set above the cast-iron rooftops of Soho, the penthouse was conceived as a single continuous gesture in cherry: lacquered panelling, silk velvet and deep rose wool drawn across the entire volume so that walls, textiles and furniture read as one material idea.

Full-height arched windows are dressed in weighted silk that filters the city into a soft glow. Crystal pendants descend on hairline cables beside the bed, while a sculptural relief in raw plaster holds the centre of the room as its only pale note.

Every piece was drawn and made for the apartment: the upholstered bed and bench, the chrome-footed chaise, the hand-knotted rug and the polished steel side tables. Delivered turn-key in eleven months, from first sketch to the final candle.
